The 1918 Influenza

The only photo I have of my maternal grandmother and mother together.

Reba (Sitzer) Eaton, my maternal grandmother.

The above is a portion of an article in The Syracuse Herald, Thursday Evening, October 17, 1918, noting the number of individuals who died in
the 24 hours preceding 3:00 p.m. on that date, including my maternal grandmother.  The article indicates that the number had decreased from the prior 24 hour period.
