My Grandfather's Stallion
My cousin Patty Butler who loves horses came into possession of this advertising flyer as a young child.  The stallion was fouled in 1901 and imported from Germany.  The advertisement states in part that "[a]ll persons interested in improvement of their stock should avail themselves of the opportunity to secure the services of this fine horse."  According to an article published in The Clearfield Progress, Clearfield, Pennsylvania, Monday, August 21, 1916, my grandfather had a reputation as a good farmer.
