Sitzer Photos and News Clipping

In the photos below are my maternal great grandparents William E. and Helen H. Sitzer.  The news clipping is from a 1940s issue of the Cortland County Standard, Cortland, New York.  The article reveals that my great grandparents had five grandsons who served in the military during Word War II.   Four of them were sons of my great aunt Daisy and one was a son of my great aunt Ethelyn.  My great aunt Ethelyn served as a nurse during World War I in the U.S. Medical Corp.  My cousin Ruth Kuchinad contributed the photos and news clipping.  Ruth's great grandmother was Phoebe Sitzer who was a sister of William E. Sitzer.  The woman to the right holding the baby is Ruth's grandmother Harriet Hamm Steele and the baby is Ruth's aunt Ruth.
